Events

Following our previous successes
we now offer a programme of monthly talks,
slide shows, quiz evenings, social events etc.
Our regular venue is Svea in the centre of Cheltenham,
at 24 Rodney Road, Cheltenham, GL50 1JJ (Tel: 01242 238 134)
on evenings when they are closed for normal business.

Usual timing: doors open 7.30pm with events starting at 8pm
but check below for any variations

'Friluftsliv - Swedish outdoor lifestyle'
In English, including details of hiking in the far north (Kungsleden), canoeing (Dalsland),
and an introduction to other activities such as long-distance ice-skating

Sweden Quiz (in English)

on Sweden and all kinds of Swedish things
Just for fun - come along and test your knowledge in a fun relaxed atmosphere!

Sat 13 December 2008, 7pm
Traditional celebration of St. Lucia

There will be the traditional Swedish songs performed for us and featuring the white dresses and candles.
The evening will include Svea’s Julbord buffet menu - view here - at £19.95 per person. Glogg and pepparkakor will also be available at an additional price for people who would like them. We're combining with Svea for this particular evening and the seating is also open to the public so there won't be a Swedish Club charge for this particular event (normally Swedish Club events are for members and paying guests). Spaces are limited so please book your place as soon as possible to make sure of your seat. Seating is by pre-bought ticket directly from Svea:
